PCB Assembly made easy, with MASCOT PUSHTRACKThe MASCOT PUSHTRACK allows multiple MASCOT systems to be connected in-line for flow based production environments. A uniquely quick and reliable solution for building PCBs precisely MASCOT PUSHTRACK will minimise PCB build times, improve your production quality and offers far greater flexibility for PTH & odd form insertion, inspection and re-work. MASCOT PUSHTRACK offers total flexibility, adapting to meet ever changing production requirements. An eye-safe laser is used to indicate the exact position & orientation of the component to be placed while the correct component for insertion is presented to the operator. The laser brilliance is adjustable and clear in all lighting conditions; there are no bulbs to change or filters to clean for minimum on-site maintenance. Build instructions are displayed on screen comprising of part information, assembly instructions & component images or assembly videos. This ensures that the right component is placed in the right place, in the right way, every time and quickly. The user friendly operation requires virtually no training and allows for even non-experienced operators to begin building PCBs immediately. The MASCOT PUSHTRACK can be programmed manually, or directly from CAD data imported using our optional ProCompiler software which significantly reduces set up time for new PCBs. The whole system is built to operate in static sensitive areas with sockets for anti-static wrist straps built into both sides of the bench. The modular design of MASCOT systems means that they can be configured to meet your specific requirements or easily reconfigured if your needs change in the future. You can select from a range of component dispensers & accessories, a single Workstation can support up to 200 random access bin locations (4 Carousels) & 176 fixed bin locations (IC Lanes or Tote Bins). The MASCOT PUSHTRACK can accommodate PCBs or wave solder pallets to a maximum of 600mm x 500mm (23.6” x 19.7”) As your business expands the Multiple MASCOT PUSHTRACK Workstations can be easily networked, sharing assembly files and our optional WORKFLOW software provides comprehensive data logging facilities for PCB traceability & build data analysis. PCB Assembly made easy, with MASCOT STANDALONEThe MASCOT STANDALONE Workstation is a uniquely quick and reliable solution for building PCBs precisely. A MASCOT STANDALONE Workstation will minimise PCB build times, improve your production quality and offers far greater flexibility for PTH & odd form insertion, inspection and re-work. MASCOT STANDALONE offers total flexibility, adapting to meet ever changing production requirements.

Ergonomically designed for maximum operator comfort, the workstation sweeps around the user’s position, with minimum distance to pick parts. Equally important, the bench is height adjustable for operator comfort. The whole system is built to operate in static sensitive areas with sockets for anti-static wrist straps built into both sides of the bench. The modular design of MASCOT systems means that they can be configured to meet your specific requirements or easily reconfigured if your needs change in the future. The MASCOT STANDALONE can accommodate turnover fixtures, wave solder pallets or crop plates, and is available in 2 sizes: MASCOT SA 1812 for PCBs or pallets up to 460mm x 300mm (18” x 12”) MASCOT SA 600500 for PCBs or pallets up to 600mm x 500mm wide (23.6” x 19.7”) As your business expands the Multiple MASCOT STANDALONE Workstations can be easily networked, sharing assembly files and our optional WORKFLOW software provides comprehensive data logging facilities for PCB traceability & build data analysis. |
Product Hand Assembly made easy, with SIGMA.Right tool. Right method. Fast changeover. Easy to program from CAD, delivering the right part at the right time, and an image or video clip, step by step. Easily define the product structure, with family tree & phantom assembly support. Harness the skill and experience of your shop floor with the Redline facility, allowing the operators to record suggestions on how to improve production. Record scrapped parts & pull material onto the station directly from your stores with the Low Bin button. MASCOT SOFTWAREMascot V2 is the latest version of our Assembly & Programming software for use with Mascot Standalone, Pushtrack, Minimal systems.
Work instructions are displayed for each step of the assembly comprising of part information, assembly instructions & component images or even video for complex assembly tasks. Incorporating our new patented Auto Image system a single image of the PCB can be used to display component location and orientation for each step in the assembly. This ensures that the right component is inserted in the right place, in the right way, every time and quickly. The user friendly operation requires virtually no training and allows for even non-experienced operators to begin building PCBs immeditaley. Assembly files can be loaded automatically from shop floor documentation using a barcode reader ensuring that the correct PCB revision is always used. The barcode reader can also be used to validate individual high value components when necessary to guarantee the correct component is placed before the build can continue. The Need function can be used to draw down parts directly from the main stores onto the workstation when local stock is running low ensuring maximum up time on the system. Assembly files can be generated quickly and easily from CAD & BOM data using the Mascot Pro Compiler and then optimised in Mascot Programming to achieve the fastest build times and balanced across a line of Mascot Workstations. Assembly data can also be exported in HTML, XML, CSV & Excel formats for processing in third party applications. WORKFLOW SOFTWAREWorkflow can be used to collect and analyse production data from Mascot & Sigma Workstations and is an invaluable aid in controlling production and product traceability.
The following data can be collected for each product built: Product Name, Serial Number, Operator ID, Station ID, Start Time & Date, End Time & Date, Build Time, Idle Time, Average Placement Time & Number of components placed. The summary screen presents a series of charts displaying an overview of the data collected from the Mascot systems such as Progress against schedule, Schedule build time remaining, Product build quantities, Product average build time, Product average placement time, User product quantities, User total build time& User total idle time. While the log view presents the data in a highly customisable grid which allows the user to ‘drill’ down through the log data. Build schedules can also be entered into Mascot Workflow. The Schedule screen displays the current status of the schedule and estimated time to completion while the Shop Floor monitor gives a real time view of the current production status on the shop floor. The placement log allows you to analyse component placement times across different products. Build data can be exported to Excel, CSV, Text, HTML & XML formats for use with third party applications. |
MASCOT PRO COMPILER
Mascot Pro Compiler can be used to import a wide range of CAD data formats and in-house BOMs directly into the Mascot programming environment significantly reducing the set-up time for new PCBs.
The compiler can also automatically combine CAD data and BOM data to produce variant builds from a single CAD file.
Native CAD formats supported by Pro Compiler include:
GenCAD, Pads, CADStar, Calay, Protel, Cimbridge, CADIF, Veribest, Mentor Neutral, UniCAM, Fabmaster & PCAD
The Pro Compiler can also import files used by other through-hole placement systems including:
Royonics DA3 Files, Blakell LS200, Blakell LS2000, Blakell LS5000, Blakell Rapid & Location files.
The file formats that the Pro Compiler can support is constantly updated, so if you have a CAD format which is not currently supported please contact us and we will endeavour to write an import.
The Pro compiler includes a template editor which allows users to define their own custom compiler templates to import text files and in-house BOM formats into the Mascot software.
